The listed media weight is for 20-grade sand. If using glass media, reduce the weight by 20%.

CONTROL VALVE MAIN FUNCTIONS
Filter
Backwash
Rinse
For normal filtering and routine vacuum cleaning.
For cleaning the filter when the pressure gauge rises to 0.7kg/cm above start-up pressure. Stop pump and turn valve to BACKWASH. Start pump until water in sight glass is clear. Approximately 2 minutes or less depending on dirt load. Proceed to rinse.
Stop pump and turn valve to RINSE. Start pump for 30 seconds. Stop pump and turn valve to FILTER for normal operation.
